About Us
The
city of
Netanya
was established in the
Sharon
Plain,
originally as a settlement in 1928. Since that time it
has received more immigrants than almost any other city
in
Israel.
Because many are aged, unable to master the language or for
other reasons, they are considered unemployable. So they call on
their talents for making crafts, jewelry and other artisan works
known to them in their native lands.
But lately,
tourism hasn't supported Netanyas’ immigrant
industry well and we need your help. The Netanya
Immigrant Gift Shoppe is an association of immigrant
artisans who live in the area of Netanya. We have come
from nations which include
Ethiopia,
Romania,
Hungary,
Morocco,
Yemen, Russia,
Ukraine,
Belarus,
South
Africa,
Argentina
and the United
States. We have combined our skills and talents to make
available to you a unique collection of hand crafted
jewelry, crafts and artisan works at reasonable
prices. We appreciate your consideration and the
purchase of our items. |
